Choose a Learning Series

Challenges & Problem Solving

Does your child love engaging in challenging math tasks?

In this series, each class focuses on at least one problem solving strategy as well as new and sophisticated math skills not commonly taught in elementary schools.

Students will have fun working with peers to unlock new understandings. An added bonus: many of the topics covered will address content often found in math competitions.

Fundamentals &
Fact Fluency

Does your child need help learning their math facts?

This series is for them! With sessions that focus on adding and subtracting within 20, or multiplying and dividing within 100, we can target your child's fluency needs. Sessions will progress from easier to more complex facts, using visuals, games and targeted practice. Having faster fact recall frees up working memory, allowing your child to more easily access and engage in complex math work.

August Leg up Series

Does your child need a confidence boost ahead of the school year?

Start the school year a step ahead by engaging in this week-long series which will preview the most important content, strategies and math models your child will learn in the upcoming year.

Our Founder

Meet Anne.

Our founder and lead educator Anne Krissoff has worked with children in grades K through 6 over the past twenty years. She has first hand experience helping young students understand high level concepts and build confidence in themselves as mathematicians. She is currently the Math Specialist for the Pocantico Hills Central School District. Prior to this she was the Math Coach at PS 41 in Manhattan's West Village area.

As a veteran educator, she knows children learn most when they are engaged in collaborative, joyful explorations that allow them to make sense of mathematics. As a local parent, she knows the various curriculum resources used in Westchester schools and the affordances and limits of what can be covered in school. Most importantly, she knows how powerful it is for children to feel connected to others. She loves to establish warm, rigorous mathematical communities where children feel seen and valued.
